Gruppo IAR has been operating since 1972 mainly in the restoration and conservation of historic buildings. Our company is committed to carrying out structural recovery interventions, both static and anti-seismic, and restoration of buildings, both modern and historic, identified as "cultural assets".
Investments in the recovery of existing buildings have surpassed in Europe the investments in the construction of new buildings, also in light of the trend to avoid occupying new spaces.
In the field of cultural assets, whose knowledge path is not yet complete, experience and research are of fundamental importance, as demonstrated by the interventions described below and their testing; these interventions are carried out according to the principles of conservation.
One of Gruppo IAR's strengths is its own highly qualified personnel, able to carry out any design idea with the required quality.
To make its experiences public, Gruppo IAR organizes conferences on the seismic recovery of historic buildings.
The company enjoys a good reputation, having carried out works with results that meet the requirements of the Superintendencies and the Curias. Some of the most significant works are illustrated in the attached monographs, including the restoration of the Crypt of the Patriarchal Basilica of St. Mark in Venice, the consolidation of the vaults damaged by the 1997 earthquake in the Upper Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, the complete restoration of the Cathedral of San Feliciano in Foligno for the Jubilee of 2000, and the anti-seismic consolidations of Palazzo Dragonetti Cappelli in L'Aquila from the 15th century.
Gruppo IAR is qualified to participate in tenders for the restoration and maintenance of historic buildings.
